Jessie Berks was born and raised in Sidney, Nebraska. After graduating from college, she and some friends decided to take a road trip to New York City and along the way, they passed through The Hudson Valley. Jessie fell in love with the area and found the perfect house on the Hudson River where she can sit on her deck with her laptop and write.
When she’s not writing, Jessie loves to people-watch. After hoping a train to New York City, she’s content to sit for hours in Central Park watching people come and go. Her laptop is her constant companion and she’ll often develop characters based on the people she observes in the park.
Jessie is in her late twenties and describes herself as a private person. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family but when she’s working on a new book, she prefers the solitude of her home on the river. She loves kids and plans to have a family one day but for now, she’s focused on her writing.
